Where do you ship?
We currently ship to the entire United States, Canada, and all US Military locations around the world via their APO, FPO & DPO addresses. In addition, we ship to Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, and Saipan (though, along with Hawaiian & Alaskan residents, you may experience slightly longer delivery timelines).
Do you offer free shipping?
Within the United States, we offer free shipping on any order over $10. In Canada, we do not offer free shipping. Our standard economy option costs $6, but we're hoping to offer lower shipping costs to Canada in the future.
Why does my order have a $6 shipping fee?
You must be one of our Canadian friends! We contribute equally to your shipping costs on all orders, regardless of the transportation mode or location. In some cases - like sending orders via Economy in the US - this means shipping will be free. For orders in Canada, the costs are significantly higher, leaving a remainder of $6 after our contribution is applied. We want you to know that the $6 fee only applies to shipping and will never go above $6 regardless of order size (unless you select an expedited option). We're committed to making sure you get your Harry's on time and we're constantly looking for ways to improve the process so that we can deliver the best experience possible.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We partner with the United States Postal Service, Canada Post, and the major parcel carriers to get your shaving products to you quickly. That typically takes about 5 business days from when you order, and you can always track it by visiting your Harry’s profile, or using the Shipping Confirmation email that we send as soon as your order heads out into the world. For our friends up north in Canada, shipping may take longer. Depending on your location, we estimate 3-12 business days for delivery. I need my order fast! Can I pay for expedited shipping?
If for any reason you need to receive your order in fewer than 5 business days, you can expedite the processing of your order for an additional fee. In the US you may pay $5 for 3-4 day shipping, $10 for two-day shipping, and $20 for next-day shipping. In Canada, you may pay $16 for our ground shipping method of 1-5 days. How long will it take for my Engraved Winston to arrive?
It can take up to 3 days for the engraving process, so ground shipping in the US may take up to 7 business days, two-day shipping could take 5 business days, and next-day air up to 4 days. For our friends in Canada, economy shipping may take 6-15 days, while ground shipping may take 4-8 days. Having said that, we try to ship packages as close to same day as we can, so these are just the most conservative estimates.
Help! There’s an issue with my engraved Winston. What do I do?
We engrave your initials on the back of the handle, opposite our logo, so if you think your Engraved Winston arrived with no engraving, check to see that they aren’t just hiding back there. Can I send a gift from Harry's to my friends?
The fact that you’re asking this question likely means that you’re an exceptionally caring and classy person. You can (and should) send Harry’s as a gift to your friends and loved ones. We’ve tried to make your gift more special by letting you add a personalized note with your Harry’s gift, and shipping it in a protective bag to make it as presentable as possible. Just be sure to add a new shipping address at checkout — unless you wanted to gift it to yourself, that is.
I haven’t received my package. What should I do?
Most packages shipped with our economy option are delivered by your local postal worker. We've found that, more often than not, the package is either in the building or with a neighbor. How do I change or cancel my order?
We try to fill and send your order as quickly as possible, which may limit our ability to add items to your order or prevent a package from shipping. How often should I change my blades?
Due to their fine steel and precision grinding, our blades are incredibly durable. Our German partners attest that they will perform well for long, long periods of time. Of course, because Harry's blades also happen to be affordable, we couldn't blame you for wanting to indulge in the luxury of changing them a little more frequently. Many guys tell us that they like to change their blades every 6-8 shaves. Whether you change blades every day or every month, we're here to help talk you through it. How do I remove the blade cartridge from my handle?
Pinch the cartridge at its base with your forefinger and thumb and push away from the handle. It should pop off with ease.
Where are your razors made?
We looked all over the world to find great razors for you. Deep in the heart of Germany, we found a company that has been making blades for over 90 years. We buy some of the best steel Sweden has to offer, and then we forge your blades in Germany in a small town near Stuttgart. Seriously.
Where are your handles made?
We designed our handles in close partnership with a really talented industrial design firm right here in New York City (Prime Studios). Then, we found an outstanding manufacturing partner near Hong Kong who was able to bring our vision to life. We've spent a lot of time thinking about the ergonomics, weight, and texture of your handle…let us know what you think!
Where is your shaving cream made?
We’ve teamed up with Mark & Jeff, talented chemists from just outside New York, to develop Harry's shave cream. Our blend of natural ingredients provides comfort during the shave & soothes the skin after your shave.
What's in your shaving cream?
We make our shaving cream from a blend of natural ingredients. We cool your skin with licorice, milk thistle, and cucumber, protect it with Vitamins E & B5, and then moisturize your face with marula & coconut oils. There are no parabens or sulfates in our cream, and it's both gluten-free and vegan. And of course, we never test on animals (if you exclude us personally). If you need a full ingredient list, reach out to us and we'll send it your way.
Do your blades contain nickel?
The steel used in our blades contains a trace amount of nickel, between 0.10% and 0.15%.
Do I have to use both your razor and your cream?
Of course not. Every product we make is built to stand alone, and give you an outstanding experience all on its own. That said, it never hurts to put great tires on a fast car. We'll leave it to you from here.
How does auto-refill work?
If you find yourself reminiscing about past orders — staring dreamily at your Harry's Profile page and remembering how much fun it was to receive that fresh pack of blades and new tube of shave cream — you can arrange for an auto-refill of your Harry’s blades and cream. Now, we think this should be really, really easy for you to setup and manage, so there are simple controls built into both your account and the auto-refill page for your convenience. Does my first auto-refill order come with a handle?
We designed auto-refill as a simple way to order replaceable items, like blades and shave cream. In contrast, we designed our handles to be timeless objects that you can use for many shaves. So before you schedule an auto-refill of blades, place an order for the handle that stands out to you most — we hope you keep it for a long time.
When do you ship my refills?
We ship your refill blades at whatever monthly interval you’d like. You can always check this in your Profile, and if you want to change the day that an upcoming shipment is scheduled to head your way, just give us a call at (888) 212.6855.
What if I go on vacation?
Well, first, congrats — we're sure you earned the time off, so enjoy it. In the meantime, visit your Profile, where you'll see your Shaving Plan. You can modify your replacement schedule easily, and place it on Hold as long as you like.
What happens if I move?
Easy enough...just visit your Profile, access your Shaving Plan, and change your shipping and billing information accordingly. If you have any trouble, just reach out to us and we'll take care of it for you.
When do you charge my credit card?
We charge your card at the time we take your order, just as we start preparing it for shipment. If for some reason something happens during the process, we'll reach out to you, and don't worry — we'll make it right.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. And we rarely turn down homemade cookies.
I'm getting an AVS mismatch error message - what's going on?
AVS stands for address verification system, which is our primary method of billing verification. The best thing to do if you see a mismatch error is to double check what you entered and then verify with your bank to see what they have listed. Unfortunately, some banks in Canada do not support AVS, so when we request that verification from your bank, it comes back as an error -- not because the billing address is incorrect, but because the bank simply does not provide that service. If you have another card, we would recommend trying it. Otherwise, we are very sorry and we appreciate your patience as we work towards a solution in the future.
How long is my coupon code valid?
Your coupon code is good to go for 90 days (unless otherwise noted) after it was first generated.
Can I use an international credit card if I'm shipping to a US address?
We can definitely help you with that. Simply add the US shipping address you'd like to use to your profile, and then contact the Harry's Customer Experience team with your complete billing information, including your billing address. Please note that the credit card must be issued by and contain a logo from either Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express. Orders placed with an international credit card may take up to 3 business days to process.
Where is the factory you recently purchased?
The factory is in Eisfeld, Germany -- nestled between Munich and Frankfurt. It's in a beautiful region that’s home to some of the best manufacturing and engineering companies in the world.
Will all of your products now be made in Germany?
We're going to continue partnering with the same great companies we have globally. Yet, now we have the advantage of owning our razor blade production, too.
Will there be immediate changes to your current product offerings?
In the very immediate future, there will be no changes to our current line of products, though we do have a number of new products on the horizon for 2014. However, we plan to invest substantially in continuously improving our blades, and now that we own our razor blade factory we’ll be able to own those improvements. And more importantly, we can use your feedback to inform the improvements that we make. We hope you'll take full advantage by letting us know how we can make better and better products for you.
Will prices of the products change?
We’ve worked hard to make sure we can offer high-quality products at affordable prices, and that’s not going to change. By owning our own production, we'll have even more control over our costs and prices and are completely dedicated to delivering you great product at great value.
Does this mean you will now be shipping internationally?
Harry’s products are unique and currently only available in the US and Canada. We hope to expand abroad in the future.
